I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and School of Data Science at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I received my Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Florida in 2014.
My current research focuses on the intersection of machine learning and networked systems with the goal of enabling pervasive and trustworthy edge intelligence. In particular, I work on algorithm and system design for distributed machine learning at the network edge. I am also interested in applied data science for human-robot collaboration, energy sustainablity, and healthcare. I am currently serving as an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. My research has been supported by NSF, AFRL, NVIDIA, and local industry.
