Yuanxiong Guo

I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and School of Data Science at The University of Texas at San Antonio. My current research focuses on machine learning, networked systems, cybersecurity and their applications to healthcare, energy, and robotics. I received my PhD degree from the University of Florida in 2014.

I am a Senior Member of IEEE and currently serving as an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. I am also the recipient of UTSA Cloud Technology Endowed Fellowship (2023), UTSA Dean’s Distinguished Research Award (2020), AFRL Visiting Faculty Research Program Award (2017), Distighuished TPC Member in IEEE INFOCOM (2016-2017), and Best Paper Award in IEEE GLOBECOM (2014). My research has been supported by NSF, DoE, NIH, AFRL, NVIDIA, and local industry.

Recent News

03/2024 Our collaborative project with PNNL received funding support from DoE.
09/2023 Our collaborative project on AI for opioid use disorder received funding support from NIH AIM-AHEAD.
08/2023 I received the Cloud Technology Endowed Fellowship from UTSA.
08/2023 I received two new NSF grants as PI.
09/2022 I am part of a multi-institute team that received a \$1.8 million NSF grant for Future of Work at the Human-Technology Frontier to support AI research in construction.
